Who We Are

African Grantmakers Network (AGN) is a continent-wide network of African grantmaking organizations that facilitates networking and experience-sharing among established and emerging African philanthropic institutions.

Governance & Organisational Structure

The African Grantmakers Network (AGN) was launched in 2009 at an inaugural meeting convened by the African Women's Development Fund (AWDF), the Kenya Community Development Foundation (KCDF), and Trust Africa (TA).

Strategic Framework & Theory of Change

The AGN strategic framework has its objectives designed to permeate all projects, programmes, and partnerships, and it is therefore on the basis of its strategic objectives that we seek to achieve the institutionalisation and strengthening of organized philanthropy in Africa, by investing in resilient institutions, capable leadership, and knowledge economy.
